Our Values
One thing is certain–there is no shortage of
churches. You can take your pick among the
hundreds of different kinds, from the proud old
denominations like the Episcopalian and
Presbyterian to the newer, more energetic
Assembly of God or Seventh Day Adventists, to
say nothing of those amazingly numerous and
various cults that keep springing up. In the
midst of such diversity, what is special about
our church? What kind of a church is it, anyway? Cick here to read about who we are.
We value The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) because loving God and loving people is the best and highest thing we could ever do.
We value The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) because Jesus calls us to make him known to our neighbors and to the nantions and to make disciples of all who would follow him.
We value prayer because apart from Christ we can do nothing, but through him we can do anything.
We value worship because the chief end of man is to love God and enjoy him forever.
We value biblical preaching and teaching because the Bible and the Bible alone, is Gods infallible, inerrant Word in written form and the supreme source of truth in all things.
We value service because the Holy Spirit equips every member of the church for ministry.
We value bold faith and vision because God loves to do extraordinary things with ordinary people.
We value fellowship because Jesus calls us to be a caring community of believers who love one another as he loves us.
We value stewardship because we want to be faithful with everything God has entrusted to us.
We value the restoration of New Testament Christianity because the divine pattern of the first century church is still God's plan for reaching the 21st century world. |
